Cary Institute COVID-19 News and Updates April 07, 2021 March 22, 2021 November 09, 2020 October 12, 2020 Effective Friday, October 9th, 2020 Governor Cuomo laid out a new plan for identifying COVID-19 Hot Spot Zones, fines for non-essential gatherings, and fines for not following Department of Health guidelines regarding wearing facemasks and following social distancing practices in all of New York State. What does Executive order no 202.68 mean for Cary Institute Work and Research? We will continue to require all employees to wear face masks and follow social distancing as described in the Cary Institute COVID Health and Safety Plan. If you are living in any of the New York State Hot Spot areas, you must follow all State guidelines and regulations. Contact your Manager and Human Resources to discuss working from home. Do NOT come into the office until you have quarantined for at least 14 days, have a COVID result submitted to Human Resources, and have approval from the Human Resources Office. We will accept a contactless drop off of samples from areas in New York State Hot Spots. There is a large blue and white cooler at the back entrance of the Likens Lab, directly across from Bacon Flats. People may drop off the samples. The samples will be disinfected or stored in an enclosed space for at least 7 days (as recommended by CDC) prior to being handled. The individuals making the drop off will not be allowed in the building for any reason. They will be required to wear a mask (even when outside), maintain social distancing and follow all State guidelines and regulations.
