Plant Science Building Lower Level Conference Room Information and Instructions
The PSB lower level conference rooms are equipped with the following technology:
Conference phone
Large format LCD display
Webcam with pan, tilt, and zoom control
Overhead speakers
Overhead beamforming microphones
Input for XLR microphone and 3.5mm stereo audio sources
The hardware is application agnostic and can be used with any video conferencing solution (Skype, Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.)
Connecting - Apple products
Press the green Room On button on the control panel
Press the Wireless mode button
Connect to the conference room WiFi
Use AirPlay to mirror your device to the screen and output sound through the room speakers
To use the webcam and ceiling microphones, connect the USB cable to your device
When the meeting ends, press the red Room Off button to power down the system
Connecting - Windows computers
Press the green Room On button on the control panel
Press the Wireless mode button
Connect to the Cary WiFi (Cary_Private or Cary_Guest)
Press Windows Key + P to see the presentation option menu
Click the Connect to a Wireless Display link and select the conference room
To use the webcam and ceiling microphones, connect the USB cable to your device
When the meeting ends, press the red Room Off button to power down the system
Connecting - Wired devices
Press the green Room On button on the control panel
Press the HDMI mode button
Connect the HDMI cable to your device
To use the webcam and ceiling microphones, connect the USB cable to your device
When the meeting ends, press the red Room Off button to power down the system
Auditorium Video Feed
Press the green Room On button on the control panel
Press the Auditorium mode button
When the event ends, press the red Room Off button to power down the system
